Albion Online Dungeons

Albion has four main dungeon types, each with different group sizes, risk levels, and reward curves. Below is a quick breakdown of how each one works, plus the raw data on difficulty tiers, IP requirements, and fame/silver multipliers.

Corrupted Dungeons — Solo instances where you kill corrupted creatures to earn Infamy. Once you hit the threshold, a final boss spawns with the real loot. The catch: another player can invade mid-run for a 1v1 fight. Three tiers exist — Hunter (non-lethal, low IP cap, low rewards), Stalker (full-loot, moderate IP cap), and Slayer (full-loot, higher IP cap, requires 100k Infamy to enter). You can fight the invader or destroy demonic shards to banish them.

Random Dungeons — Hidden entrances that pop up across the open world. The zone tier roughly sets the dungeon tier (T4–T8), and more dangerous zones mean better loot. Solo and group variants exist. Chest and mob drops range ±2 tiers of the dungeon level. Enchanted dungeon maps crank up the difficulty, fame, and loot further. These dungeons are temporary — clear them fast or someone else will.

Expeditions — Instanced PvE missions launched from the Expedition Master in any city. Solo runs take about 10–15 minutes, group runs (5 players) around 20–30. No PvP risk, no map required. Your first run each day awards bonus fame and a Royal Sigil. Hardcore expeditions require a map and real group coordination. Higher Reaver tiers unlock more expedition types.

Hellgates — 2v2, 5v5, or 10v10 PvP/PvE arenas accessed via Hellgate Rituals (crafted, looted, or bought). The entrance spawns several zones away from where you activate the ritual. Kill demons to fill an Infamy bar, fight the opposing team if they show up, and claim the boss loot. Lethal hellgates are full-loot; non-lethal variants exist for lower-stakes practice. Winning a PvP fight gives you an extra chest on top of the PvE rewards.
